Features
Forget about input ranging
24-bit recording captures the tiniest whisper and the loudest bang in the same recording without clipping, compression or range adjustment. This feature also makes recording suitable for re-analysis during post-processing to extract additional information and run more complex analysis.

Flexible application modules
The 2250 software allows you to configure the instrument to precisely match your requirements. All our meters are delivered with the Sound Analysis, Frequency Analysis, Logging and Recording options, additional modules detailed below may be added as required.

PC software
Included with every B&K 2250 is a dedicated PC software package that handles data transfer, archiving of data, export of data, setup, etc.

Touch-sensitive screen and key pad
The large colour screen presents a wealth of information clearly, and is highly customisable - making interaction easy and intuitive. Buttons give single-click access to the most important and frequent commands like start/pause, save, voice comment and event marking.

Expandable memory
Two SD memory slots that support Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) cards allow you to always increase your storage space.

Confident measurement quality
Immediate, detailed feedback about measurement quality comes from features such as a 'smiley face' quality indicator and a 'traffic light' system - informing you of measurement status even from a distance.

Annotate on the go
Press the commentary button and record voice comments on a separate microphone with a dedicated channel either before, during or after a measurement. The comments file is then attached to the measurement project as documentation.

For measurements up to 165 dB add a B&K 4135 or GRAS 40BF 1/4" microphone.

Please order any extra items from the lists below and only pay for what you need. However we do recommend the B&K 7815 Explorer - Data Viewing PC Software or the Type 7820 Evaluator Environmental Noise software to 'handle' the large amounts of data downloaded using the free BZ 5503 PC Utility delivered with our 2250 meters.

We also hire Windows laptops loaded with download and other useful software.

Sound level meters and particularly microphones are very susceptible to damp, so should not be used outside unless protected - see our environmental kits.

A B&K 4231 calibrator is highly recommended.
