Analogue Outputs :
Flat and A-weighted signal outputs, AC are provided. Output impedance max. 100 Ω min. load impedance 2 kΩ Shorting the terminals will not affect measurement accuracy. FSD corresponds to approximately 0.83 V.
Measurement Ranges :
For microphone sensitivity in the range -24.1 to -34.0 dB re 1 V/Pa the total measurement range for the instrument is divided in five ranges with 70 dB overlap
10 to 90 dB
20 to 100 dB
30 to 110 dB
40 to 120 dB
Accuracy of range settings :
<0.2 dB between any gain step at 1 kHzThe total measurement range corresponds to 3 µV to 3 V RMS, up to ± 10 V peak, at the input terminal. By selecting microphone sensitivity setting in 0.1 dB steps in the range -84.0 to +15.9 dB re 1 V/Pa, the total displayed range may be set in 10 dB steps between -30 to +90 dB and 60 to 180 dB; peak up to 190 dB.
Overload Detectors :
Instantaneous and latched overload indication.
Level Detector :
Simultaneous detection of A and C-weighted levels. Levels from 80 dB below to 7 dB above FSD are indicated. Resolution 0.1 dB. Time constant F, S or I. Displayed functions are instantaneous level, minimum level, maximum level, equivalent continuous level and sound exposure level within the selected measurement period
Crest factor : Minimum 10 at FSD, increasing for lower levels
Linearity range : 80 dB according to IEC 804 - type 1 from 5 dB above to 75 dB below FSD
Pulse range : 83 dB according to IDC 804 - type 1
Peak Detector :
Simultaneous detection of A and C-weighted peak levels
Dynamic range : from 10 dB above to 57 dB below FSD
Accuracy : ± 2 dB
Integration Time :
The measurement time is selectable in 1 second step from 1 s to 99 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds. Integration setting time is less than 1 s. Measurement periods down to 1/8 s in level vs time mode. On activating the PAUSE function, the instrument will cancel acquired data recorded up to 10 seconds before the switch was operated
Marker :
If level versus time mode is selected, a marker may be placed at different points along time axis for identification purposes.
Graphical Display :
LCD, 64 x 128 pixels.Data Memory :
Non-volatile memory powered by main instrument batteries, even if the voltage is too low for normal operation. Batteries must be replaced within 2 minutes to retain stored information. Storage of up to 245,000 measurement Stored values may be recalled and displayed or transferred via the serial interface.
Level Distribution :
Class width : 0.5 dB
Range : 169 classes from 80 dB below, to 3 dB above FSD. The upper and lower classes have extended ranges
Calculation of percentage levels : 0.1 : 1 : 5 : 10 : 50 : 90 : 95 and 99%, interpolated to 0.1 dB resolution
Displayed Functions :
A and C-weighted measured simultaneously.
Time constant selectable, other functions measured in parallel.
The levels may represent a complete measurement record from the start to the end, or shorter time periods set by the selected time resolution. A number of subsequent periods form a level versus time record
A-weighted Measurements :
